PSC is a disease that affects the bile ducts, which are tubes that carry bile from the liver to the small intestine. In PSC, these ducts become inflamed and scarred over time. This causes them to narrow and eventually become blocked. When this happens, bile can't flow properly and builds up in the liver, causing damage. PSC is a chronic condit
